Suresh Chukkapalli is being honoured with this prestigious Award for his innovative idea and its execution to its perfection of the construction of modern crematorium, ‘Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam’. Mr Suresh Chukkapalli born on 18th August 1962, believes that every departed soul deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and its last rites conducted in an environment that is well-organized, clean, and peaceful. With this deep consideration, the GHMC Crematorium at Whisper Valley was modernised, and was renamed as Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam.
Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam is a modern crematorium with all facilities and amenities where the final rituals can be conducted in an immaculate, hassle-free and dignified manner.
Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme of the Phoenix Group of Hyderabad is now being adopted as a model by many states and municipalities, and the notion itself is causing a shift in how we think about and approach the design and construction of the most basic yet vital of our social infrastructures.
